Family & Friends it is with great saddness that we share the sudden passing of Kathleen Yeo, Harley’s mum. While we ask for help to give her the send off she so highly deserves not only for the fight she put up but due to the sudden loss when we thought we would have time to prepare. Although Kath had a funeral fund this is not enough to cover the cost of all the funeral expenses. lf you are able to donate to the family it would be greatly appreciated..
Our story begins with a sore back in September last year followed by Kath being admitted to hospital for her back problems in October 2023 as her back didn’t seem to be getting any better. 3 months of hospitalisation, ongoing physiotherapy, testing and scans her back problems where not getting any better. We brought her home as that is what the Drs advised and continued her physiotherapy as an outpatient. Physio continued for months before Kath’s strength was leaving her and we as a family couldn’t work out why. She had fallen 3 times and this was enough for us to convince her to go back to hospital. ED took her for emergency scans and deemed it necessary that she undergo back surgery, to fix her broken back with plates, on the 6th March the Drs finally contacted us to inform us that Kath had Advance and widespread Cancer. She closed her eyes and went entered into eternal sleep surrounded by her closest family on Monday 1st April at 8:27am.
