Hi, my name is Natasha Patterson, I’m fundraising for Joseph Douglis.

It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of a truly special gentleman, Joseph Douglis aka Joe Joe, who became much more than a friend to me. Over time, our friendship grew. He passed away on July 26th, 2026 from Multiple Myeloma Disease, which is a type of Blood Cancer.

For sometime, I supported Joe with the things many of us take for granted. I helped him attend medical appointments, arranged appointments on his behalf, prepared meals, did food shopping together, cleaned his home and made sure he had company so he didn’t have to face each day alone. As the years went by, I wanted Joe to know the he was valued and remembered.

We celebrated birthdays and Christmas together, shared conversations, laughter and quiet moments of champanionship. No one should have to grow old feeling forgotten, and I did my best to make sure he always knew someone cared.

Joe Joe was a kind and generous man who spent much of his life giving to others. He was well known in his community for always being willing to lend a helping hand, offer support and lookout for those around him. He touched many lives through his kindness, compassion and selflessness, never expecting anything in return.

Joseph spent his life lifting others up. Now we have a chance to come together and do the same for him, ensuring he is given a peaceful farewell that reflects the kindness he showed throughout his life.

Unfortunately Joe did not have life insurance or savings in place to cover funeral costs, which is why we are asking for support to ensure he can be laid to rest with dignity and care.

We need your support now to give Joe the funeral he deserves.

Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards covering his funeral and essential related costs.

He has always said to me, he wanted his ashes to be scattered over his parents grave in Scotland. I will do my best to keep to his wishes.
