Help us give Giana & her Mother a proper funeral

Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Colleen O'Donnell, and I am helping Marissa with this fundraiser so we can raise enough money to give her little Sister Giana, a proper funeral and memorial service that she so very much deserves.

We have decided to raise the goal amount as we were unprepared for the cost of her services and what it will take to give her a service where everyone can view her and say their last goodbyes.  Its going to run approximately between 7 and 9 thousand dollars just to have a 2-hour open casket viewing service followed by cremation.  After all of that is paid, we still need to come up with extra funds to book a venue to have a memorial party and catered food.
Anything that is left over will go to a few miscellaneous things such as paying for the storage of both Giana and my moms things,  and taking care of my moms dog,  luvbug, which became my sister's dog, but is now dealing with doggie trauma from losing them both.

We are deeply saddened by her sudden and unexpected passing on 8/31/21, which comes only 5 months after their Mother,  Kathleen, passed away. Their father passed away when they were younger.

As you can imagine, Marissa, her older sister, can barely comprehend this extremely tragic loss, and she has only a few living relatives left to mourne with.  She is pretty much left all alone now, and has children that were extremely close with their "Ti-Ti",  as well. This has left a devastating impact on her and anyone who knew Giana.

The Sisters could barely afford to pay for a service or memorial for their mother, and they were unlawfully locked out of the apartment "Ma-Dukes" (nickname she had) that she lived at, making it a terrible struggle to have a service for their Mom, and also a place to live. The sherif moved all of their mothers belongings out and immediately the sisters were responsible for storage fees of $500 per month. This is going to be virtually impossible for Marissa to afford on her own. Costs will go down once Marissa becomes full executor of Kathleen and Gianas estate. Because of this extraordinarily expensive bill,  they were only able to afford cremation. Their Mother wanted her ashes spread in the beautiful Sonoran Desert of Sedona, Arizona. These were also Gianas wishes,  so some of the funds raised will be spent on a proper service where Marissa can lay her Mother and baby Sister to rest.

Those who had the pleasure of knowing Giana, knew what an amazingly beautiful and talented young woman she was. She was a songwriter and musician and was so proud when her music was streamed across the world after signing on with House Tribe Records. She made it to major platforms such as Apple Music, Amazon Music, and a Vinyl EP. Giana had a song that was getting ready to be featured in a major motion picture film and was so happy all her hard work had been noticed. We are so proud of who she was. As a lover of nature, animals, children,  and all things beautiful , she carried a naturally attractive light within her that attracted everyone.  She was a natural healer and was also extremely funny. She shined bright and beautiful inside and out.

Times are hard for everyone right now but this family has been hit extremely hard with bad luck. As a close friend to Gianas older sister Marissa, I ask that if anyone can contribute anything to help make this awful time easier on her and take away the burden of being unable to afford laying her baby sister to rest, along with their Mother, it will be beyond appreciated. The sisters were extremely close. Marissa is left to endure this stress and pain by her lonesome. We would like to properly have some kind of service to show Giana how much she was truly loved and adored. At the same time, she will give proper honor to their Mother and their ashes will be spread together.

I worry about her older sister Marissa, as she has recently had knee surgery and is out of work , barely getting by as it is. Life has never been easy for her and I hope that if we are able to raise some money it will maybe ease some of her sorrow. We understand if you can't contribute,  but if you know Marissa or Giana, please share this far and wide.

Thank you for anyone who takes the time to read this.

Rest in the sweetest peace Gigi.  Please watch over your big sis.

Love,
Colleen O'Donnell
