Hello, we are Donald Smith and Deseri Delgado. We are the nephew and niece of Eric Wigfall.

Eric sadly passed away at the young age of 64 on Saturday, December 21, 2024. He was hospitalized since his birthday, June 25, 2024, and never got a chance to come home.

If you knew Eric, you knew that he was the most humble, generous, loving, kind person on this earth. He truly cared for anyone he had an interaction with. No matter what your story was, he was there to listen and help if he could.

With him being moved from hospital to rehabilitation centers and back to the hospital, it took a toll on his health. Yes, he had some health issues, and every time he went to a new facility, they found something new that he was suffering from. Ultimately, we can’t for sure say what he died of because the hospital that he is still at did not perform an autopsy, although we signed paperwork for them to do so. I am deeply saddened that his body is still at the hospital knowing how much he wanted to come home. Another reason why his body is still there is because the life insurance he had is giving us a runaround and won’t release funds until certain paperwork is filled out by the court. And this can take up to 8 months.

Eric truly deserves and earns a proper funeral and burial so that he can finally rest in peace. We are asking if you could possibly donate any amount to help us get Uncle Eric buried.
