We need help. And it’s so hard to ask but we have to. We need to peacefully put our dog to rest; and get her cremated. Emma is 13 1/2 years old and has lived a long healthy spoiled life. Just before the new year, she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. She has fluid building up in her belly because of this, and has been on multiple different kinds of meds for the last 6 months. The last option of medication choices is no longer helping keep the fluid off. The fluid also makes it harder on her breathing. She can’t go up the stairs by herself, we carry her inside every time she goes out to go potty. And now her back legs are getting worse and going down the stairs is hard for her, as well as standing up after being in a laying position. She wears a doggy diaper as she can no longer control her bladder/bowels and will go as soon as she stands up without warning. Her quality of life, day to day is worsening and we do not want her to pass in pain.

She may also have a cancerous tumor , but unable to see because of the fluid.

we are trying to raise funds to help so we can have a home euthanasia ($375) as well as cremation ($275) and have her ashes given back to us. Home euthanasia will give us the opportunity to let her doggy brother and kitty sisters be here with her and have the chance to smell her and say goodbye. Also it will be way less stressful on her than if we were to bring her to the vet. We want her to be home in her living room where she’s comfortable and feels safe and not scared.

cremation is what we prefer rather than burying her in an area we can’t visit often.(our backyard is not an option as we live in a trailer park). With cremation- we will be able to have her with us.

Our care credit is maxed out due to the last 6 months of medication trials, 2 X-rays, an ultrasound and multiple vet visits. We are just trying to do right for our girl.
