We are heartbroken to share that our beloved friend, Douglas Ducklow, passed away unexpectedly in mid-July. Doug was the kind of person who seemed invincible — our very own Superman. With a heart as strong as his spirit, he had an unshakable will to live, and no one, least of all Doug, could have imagined a world without him in it.

Because his passing was so unexpected, and he left no will or end-of-life plan, we — his close friends and chosen family — are coming together to organize a memorial in his honor.

The memorial will be held on September 20th in Parry Sound ON at the Royal Canadian Legion from 6pm -11pm

where we will gather to celebrate the incredible life Doug lived and the countless lives he touched.

We’re raising funds to help cover the costs of the memorial and to give Doug the meaningful farewell he deserves. Anything raised beyond what’s needed for the service will be donated to The Kidney Foundation in Doug’s name — a cause we know would mean a lot to him.
