Help Us Give Chris Hampilos a Final Resting Place

Chris Hampilos Jr. was known and loved by many. From splashing around and helping Papou (Grandfather) at Maple Grove Swimming Pool, to being a constant staple at our family grocery store, Chris’ Food Market, Chris always was there to help anyone with anything without complaint.
After the family store was sold, Chris continued what he knew best, hard work, and became a familiar face at Walmart where he worked for many years. From a young age, he always knew what hard work was and never balked at it. When he was tasked with something, he did it and did it well. That always translated into my Uncle’s life. He wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty and he wasn’t afraid to put in the work. My stubborn, kind, and loving uncle was a hard worker his entire life. Although he struggled with some disabilities and his health at times, he always persevered and pushed through. Time and time again, he showed that, whether it was at Franklin and Marshall College or Conestoga View or any other place that he worked.
When people needed help, he was the first one to offer. He was the type of person who would do what he could to help out someone in need, sometimes to his own detriment, regardless of whether he knew them personally or not. From doing something small like providing something to eat for someone, or something big like giving someone a place to stay for the night or two or more, if he was able and could do it, he would.
As his passing was so unexpected, we just weren’t prepared. With just recently burying our Uncle Jimmy, and with Chris not having money set aside for funeral costs, as a family we could really use your help to give my Uncle the proper funeral and burial he deserves. Just like he had helped so many people throughout his life, we could use your help now.
