We have indeed lost a legend in the culinary game. Moses Owusu popularly know as Chef Big Mo was born on March 6 1983 in Ghana. He move to America to chase his dreams. Chef Mo comes from a family of chefs so cooking was in his blood. He started off by working in the kitchen at a hospital located in Mt Kisco NY over 10years ago. He then proceeded to become a senior cook that’s when he decided to attend culinary school. Chef Mo then went on to work as head chef at a nursing home in NY for a few years before deciding to start his own business. Prior to starting his own business he worked at a few restaurants in NY as a chef. He opened the popular Osu RE Grill in May 2022 at the hunts point location and run it for about 2 years. Later the restaurant was relocated to its current location at 1344 E Gunhill Road in the early months of 2024. Chef Mo was dedicated to putting smiles on the faces of his customers. He was selfless and always wanted to see the people around him happy. He gave nothing but the best in the kitchen and his culinary curiosity was mind blowing. On Sunday June 29 everything changed. We lost this great man who was a friend and brother to many. As the saying goes the good ones always die young. We have indeed lost a legend of the kitchen.
