Help us give Bobby a much deserved send off

To all family and friends. It is with a heavy heart that I make this request. By now, most know that my ex- brother-in-law Robert "Bobby" Martra Jr has passed away on January 5, 2022 at the young age of 53. He was a loving son, brother, father, Grampy uncle and friend.
Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with stage 4A throat cancer in June of 2021. Bobby went through very intense treatment & 36 rounds of radiation and 2 rounds of chemotherapy. After not improving much, he went for a CT scan which determined that the cancer was still there and spreading. He was given months to live and unfortunately, only lived 2 weeks to the day after that gut wrenching news. His family is in complete shock and trying to wrap their heads around this very tragic & sudden loss as everyone thought he would have more time here with us.
Bobby had his flaws like us all but was loved by so many and he loved everyone even more!! He was loud, boisterous, and fun to be around. He loved to cook & entertain, he made everyone feel at home. He truly lit up a room and it’s terrible that this world lost such a genuine person.
He leaves behind so many loved ones. His sister Rhonda, ex wife Lisa & mother who took care of him & never left his side and his biggest accomplishments, his children Tiffany & Robert.
I've taken it upon myself to reach out and ask for some much needed help. With Christmas just passing, and no burial insurance or end of life insurance the burden is on my niece, Tiffany and her husband Mikey.
Losing a parent is extremely difficult. I have been in this very position. You feel defeated and emotionally exhausted. Life doesn't stop so you can grieve it keeps going.
If you are able to give anything to defray the funeral expense it would be greatly appreciated. Every dollar and share will help immensely.
Bobby also was the full time caregiver to his son, Robert who was born with Cerebral Palsy and developmental delays. Anything extra will go directly to the care for Robert & his needs going forward.
We all really appreciate you taking the time to read this & share! I know it isn't easy to reach out and ask for help. If it's on your heart to help financially the family would be forever grateful. If unable just sharing this would make a difference.
- In lieu of flowers please just pass this along. If, uncomfortable making an online donation you can feel free to call Thomas and Walter Quinn funeral home directly and let them guide you what to do.
