Help us give Bob his final resting place

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Erin and I am fundraising for help to cover my Dads final resting expenses. My Dad (Bob Wotherspoon ) was kind, helpful, loving man. He has four children and seven grandchildren and an amazing girlfriend surrounding him. He has always been the first to help someone out with whatever they needed. My dad loved riding his bike and participating in the Slow Roll, ice skating at St. Clair Shores Civic arena where he was always helping anyone who needed it by giving skating tips, and golfing. We are all so lucky to have had him in our lives.
On Tuesday, April 2nd I rushed my Dad to Beaumont Grosse Pointe. He had a heart attack and uncontrollable Afib. We finally were able to get some answers on Friday. He had a leaky mitrovalve and they found a blood clot in his left upper chambers of his heart. After his surgical procedures to find this out, Brett and I saw him and were with him. He was laughing and joking with the nurses about how he needed to be out of there by 8 pm so he could go ice skating and asked me for food and was good. We were ok with the diagnosis and that we finally had a plan of attack. An hour later, hospital staff found him on the floor and rushed him to CT. They found he had had a massive stroke and his artery was 100% clogged. We rushed him by ambulance to Royal Oak Beaumont where they performed emergency surgery to clear the clot. They were only able to clear 80% of the blockage and told us at that point there was extensive brain damage done. We still had hope for him. Saturday was a decent day with little baby steps in the right direction until things stopped progressing that evening. The doctors told us that all of this was caused by what they call “Viral Myocarditis”. The odds of this happening to someone are 2 in 2 MILLION. The doctors told us repeatedly that this is literally just a tragedy. Sunday morning I received a call from his Neurologist that things have taken a turn for the worst. At this point the decision was made to respect my Dads wishes and put him in to Hospice care.
The funds raised here will be to help cremate and lay him to rest. Any help is so appreciated from his family.
