Hi :) If you know our mom, you know she has spent her entire life putting everyone else before herself.

For 25 years, she proudly served as a Hamtramck police officer, spending 19 of those years as a detective. But her impact went far beyond the badge. She lived by the belief that if she could make a difference in just one child’s life, she had done her job. The truth is, she changed the lives of many.

She adopted four children, fostered six more, and opened her heart and home to countless kids who needed love, stability, and a family. She never cared where someone came from or what they had been through—she simply believed everyone deserved to belong.

After retiring, Hamtramck cut her dental and health insurance. Since then, she has been battling Crohn’s disease, which has taken a tremendous toll on her health and ultimately caused her to lose her teeth. Despite everything she’s faced, she continues to put others first and rarely asks for anything in return.

As her children, we’re asking for help because she never would. We want to give back to the woman who has given so much of herself to so many. Every donation will go toward helping our mom receive denture implants so she can smile, eat comfortably, and regain a quality of life she truly deserves.
