Help Us Give Back to the Woman Who Has Given Everything
If you’ve ever had the privilege of knowing our mom, you know she’s the kind of person who would give her last dollar, her last bit of energy, or the shirt off her back to help someone else. Today, we’re asking for help for her. Our mom has been in the ICU for nearly a week due to life-threatening heart complications. She is expected to remain hospitalized for at least another one to two weeks and will likely be transferred to another hospital for specialized care. In the coming days, she will undergo two life-saving heart procedures, and our family is praying for the best possible outcome.
As you can imagine, the emotional and financial burden has been overwhelming. All six of her children have been traveling back and forth to be by her side, taking time away from work, paying for gas, meals, and other unexpected expenses. As her surgeries approach, we’ll be spending even more time at the hospital to support her through every step of her recovery. When she is finally able to come home, she’ll also need a new electric wheelchair. She is unable to walk, and the wheelchair she currently relies on is on the verge of breaking. Having a safe, dependable wheelchair is essential to her independence and quality of life.

Every single day, she volunteers at the community’s free food table, serving low-income families and those experiencing homelessness. Even on days when she’s in pain and barely able to move, she still shows up with a smile because she believes everyone deserves kindness.
For more than 20 years, she has poured her heart into making Christmas magical for children in our community, spending hundreds of hours each year organizing and providing gifts to hundreds of kids. She has also raised six children on her own, giving us unconditional love, strength, and every opportunity she could. She has spent her entire life putting everyone else first. Now it’s our turn to be there for her.
