Dear Friends and Family,
I come to you today with a heavy heart to share the story of my beloved Aunt Mare Mare. On April 14th, she was admitted to the ER battling pneumonia. Despite initial progress, her health took a sudden and devastating turn on April 27th when she went into cardiac arrest. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, she slipped into a coma.
Over the past weeks, we witnessed Aunt Mare Mare's brave fight for life. She displayed remarkable strength as she battled against the odds, but sadly, her condition began to decline rapidly. On May 7th, she was declared brain dead.
In her spirit of generosity and compassion, Aunt Mare Mare had previously expressed her wish to be an organ donor. She believed in the power of giving life even in her final moments. Currently, her organs are being tested at NYU to find suitable matches, potentially saving up to 8 lives.
As we navigate through this incredibly challenging time, we're faced with the practical realities of arranging for Aunt Mare Mare's final farewell. We're reaching out to our community for support in honoring her legacy and fulfilling her final wishes.
Your generous contributions will go towards covering the expenses associated with Aunt Mare Mare's funeral and medical bills. Any additional funds raised will be donated to organizations dedicated to organ donation awareness, in honor of Aunt Mare Mare's selfless act.
Though Aunt Mare Mare may no longer be with us in body, her spirit lives on in the lives she touches through her gift of organ donation. We're immensely grateful for any support you can offer during this difficult time.
We'll continue to keep you updated on Aunt Mare Mare's journey, including when a date of death is determined. Your love, prayers, and kind gestures mean the world to us as we come together to celebrate her remarkable life.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion and generosity.
With love and gratitude,
