Once upon a time, we had big dreams like every other child in the world. We lived a simple life filled with laughter and play. Our new home was our safe haven, built with love and care, and we saw it as a symbol of our aspirations. Its walls were adorned with our pictures, and every room told a story of our joy and life.
Please see the pictures.
Tia, 13 years old, lived in her own world. Her room was full of colors, decorated with photos of her friends and dreams of becoming a star in basketball. She spent hours training with her friends at the “Champions” club, where she felt free and happy. But those beautiful days were slowly being taken away from us.
As for me, Khamis, 14 years old, I found solace in my room. I had dreams too—dreams of a childhood full of exploration and fun. We loved to play together, building imaginary worlds and sharing secrets. But all that crumbled in an instant.
With the onset of war, everything changed. In the blink of an eye, our lives were shattered. We lost our home, which held our dreams and memories. We watched as everything we loved was destroyed, our walls turned into rubble, and our laughter turned into cries of pain.
Tia stood in her destroyed room, contemplating the debris around her. She felt lost, thinking of all those moments that had slipped away. There was no longer a safe place for her. As for me, I lost my room too, my dreams turned into nightmares. How can children live in a world of destruction?
Now, we live in a cramped building, sharing a bathroom and kitchen with thirty people. Each day feels like a struggle for survival, with fear surrounding us on all sides. We hear whispers about the army advancing, and we fear for our future. Where will we go? How will we live?
We are just children, carrying hopes and aspirations. But those hopes fade with every falling bomb. With every sound of explosions, our hearts break with fear.
We are asking for your help; we need a new chance. We want to escape this nightmare. We long for a normal life where we can play, laugh, and pursue our dreams. We want to travel to Egypt and start anew.
If you can help, we kindly ask for your donations or to share our story. We believe there are those who will hear our call. Every share and every donation makes the world a better place for us.
From the depths of our hearts, we thank you for your care and support. We hope that hope will return to our hearts again and that we can reclaim our lost childhood.
