Hello, I decided to come here to ask for help for my son, Martin. Martin is a sweet, silly six-month-old of fraternal boy-girl twins. He was born breech through C-section at 35 weeks premature, which has led to his being diagnosed with moderate to severe plagiocephaly, which means his head is flattened and asymmetrical on the right side. He is in need of a helmet to correct it, but we are a single-income household so I can stay at home to take care of him and his sister instead of paying outrageous childcare prices. His father is our sole provider, working seven days a week, and we still barely make enough for bills. Insurance won’t pay for the helmet because they view it as cosmetic since he didn’t need cranial surgery. The funds will be going directly to the providers for his fitting, adjustments and follow up appointments.
