Help us gift LGBTQ couples a fantastical wedding

My name is Kelly Wilson and I'm asking for your support with a community project I am very passionate about. A week ago, I gathered some likeminded friends with a goal of developing a community that meets to spread radical joy in fantistical ways.

10 years ago marriage equality was secured and the supreme court affirmed all Americans were afforded the right to marry who they loved. Sadly, this is not the joyous 10 year celebration this community was looking forward to. Instead, couples are scrambling to get married before they no longer have the right to do so.

I take offense to this reality and felt deeply moved to do someting. So I gathered some people.

We're now 1 week past our first meeting. Our group has grown to about 80 people following along, many volunteering time and talent. We have secured a location, we are securing the date and we're ready to go get some couples.

Our vision is very ambitious. We intend to gift full mini weddings to LGBTQ+ couples looking to marry.

It will be a full day event, multiple couples individually married in their own chapel service (secular and faith based). Flowers, ceremony, certificate signing, pictures, individual cake cutting, and their own first dance.

We want to gift couples the wedding they deserve. But we will need lots of generous people to help us pull this off. It's a lot of moving parts and I know not everyone can donate time and talent, but every dollar we can pull together helps us reach our lofty goal.

We will specifically be using funds to purchase...decorations and items needed for the day. We will be servicing 15 couples and their guests. We are purchasing items of drink, lighting, food and all that goes in to planning 15 weddings in one day. We would like to hire professional security, and will also need funds to pay providers of talent (photographers, DJ's) where we are unable to find volunteers.

I am the founder of the group and I started this fundraiser I will be using the funds to pay for all things we can not get donated.
