Help us get Victor back on his feet!

Hi, my name is Yolanda Ortega and I am putting this fundraiser together to help my brother, Victor Olivares, as he recovers from a horrible car accident that he’s fortunate to have made it out alive from. This accident happened on Friday, Oct. 29th, as he was on his way to work and had no time to respond to heavy traffic that suddenly came to a complete stop. His door was stuck from the impact and thankfully a good samaritan ran out to pull the door open for him so he could escape the car that had begun to smoke.

 

As he tried to get out of the car, he realized he would not be able to walk on his own. Victor ended up with six fractured ribs, a broken hip, a fractured finger and many scrapes and bruises. He feels blessed to have made it out alive.

 

Since the accident, Victor has undergone surgery on his hip to repair his broken hip socket. His hip required a plate and several screws to put it back together. He is still in the hospital awaiting a transfer to a rehabilitation center where he will receive intensive physical therapy. He has a long road ahead of him, but again, we are all just so grateful to still have him with us! ❤️

 

Victor is the sole provider for his family of five. He has three beautiful daughters, a supportive wife, and a strong support system that will continue to be by his side. Unfortunately as we are focused on his recovery, we know there are bills that are beginning to pile up and many unknowns about how long he will be out of work for. On top of the bills, monthly living expenses, mortgage from a new home, he is also out of a car since it was totaled in the accident and he didn’t have full coverage on his insurance.

 

Victor is that one person that always puts other’s needs first. He’s the funny guy, that one person you can count on to crack a joke to lighten the mood. I’m hoping we can all come together to help my little brother get back on his feet. Thank you for any support you can provide- anything helps! He could also use your prayers.

Hola, me llamo Yolanda Ortega y estoy recaudando fondos para ayudar a mi hermano, Víctor Olivares, a recuperarse de un horrible accidente automovilístico del que es afortunado haber salido vivo. Este accidente ocurrió el viernes 29 de octubre, ya que estaba en camino a trabajar y no tuvo tiempo para responder a un tráfico pesado que de repente llegó a una parada completa. Su puerta quedo atorada del impacto y afortunadamente un buen samaritano salió corriendo para abrirle la puerta para que Victor pudiera escapar del carro.

 

Pero cuando trató de salir del carro,  se dio cuenta de que no sería capaz de caminar por su cuenta. Victor terminó con cuatro costillas fracturadas, una cadera rota, y un dedo fracturado.. Él se siente bendecido por haber salido de esta situación vivo.

 

Desde el accidente, Victor se ha sometido a una cirugía en la cadera para reparar su cadera rota. Su cadera necesitaba una parte de metal para repararla y varios tornillos para volver a ponerla en su lugar.

Victor todavia está en el hospital y espera que lo puedan trasladar a un centro de rehabilitación donde recibirá terapia física intensiva. Él tiene un largo camino por delante de recuperación, pero de nuevo, ¡todos estamos tan agradecidos de tenerlo con nosotros! ❤

 

Victor es el único proveedor para su familia de cinco. Tiene tres hermosas hijas, su esposa que es su gran apoyo y su familia que seguirá estando a su lado para motivarlo a seguir adelante. Lamentablemente, mientras nos centramos en su recuperación, sabemos que hay muchos gastos que comienzan acumularse y sin saber cuánto tiempo estará fuera del trabajo. Además de las cuentas, los gastos mensuales, la deuda de una nueva casa, también perdio su carro ya que no tenía cobertura completa en su seguro.

 

Victor es esa persona que siempre pone las necesidades de los demás en primer lugar. Él es muy servicial y tambien es una persona en la que ayuda a que la gente se sienta comoda por su amabilidad y con sus bromas que nunca paran. Espero que todos podamos reunirnos para ayudar a mi hermano pequeño a volver a sus pies. ¡Gracias por cualquier apoyo que usted puede proporcionar- cualquier cosa ayuda! Él también agradeceria sus oraciones.
