Firstly, thank you for taking the time to visit our Go Fund Me page!

We are Blake & Rory, two 4th year Automotive Engineering students from Harper Adams University. Last year we stumbled across "The Mongol Rally", which we thought looked like a right laugh! One of our main goals of this expedition is to raise as much money as we can for Yellow Wellies, the Farm Safety Foundation.

The Mongol Rally is a 10,000 mile expedition, starting in Prague, Czechia and finishing in far east Kazakhstan. The rally takes us across deserts, mountains and some of the roughest roads on earth. It's not a guided expedition, there's no support, no set route and no backup. We will be relying on our own skills to keep our vehicles going, which might not end well...

Most people attempt the rally in small cars, but in order to make this unnecessarily challenging for ourselves, we have decided to partake on 125cc motorbikes. They are slow, unreliable and completely unsuitable, but that's the point! Every breakdown will test our problem solving skills (which you hope would be okay, considering we are doing Engineering degrees!), but also our communication skills when we have to rely on locals to help us.

Due to the size and nature of this trip, it would be impossible to fund it entirely by ourselves. Therefore, we have set this page up in order to help fund parts of the rally. These funds will go towards things such as Visas, Fuel and Entry Fees. We are attempting to do this as cost effectively as possible, but even with our best efforts, the costs add up. Every donation helps get us to the finish line in Kazakhstan!
