Hi, my name is Sofia Pina! I'm the student coach for the Fusion Odyssey team from the following schools: Olympia High School, Edgewater High School, and Apopka High School. We are high school students who've made it to the OOTM World Finals competition and are looking to fundraise $7,000 to afford competition fees. It costs about $1,000 per student, including airfare, housing, and meals. In order to afford this trip, we're seeking donations to get us to the World Finals! The first question that may arise is, "What is Odyssey of the Mind?" To answer, it's a creative thinking problem-solving program for students K-University, where kids are able to select one of five problems and indulge in their creative mindsets to create solutions to problems. Our team is known for competing in Problem 4, which is tailored to engineering structures that can hold hundreds to thousands of pounds. Because of this, we have been able to advance to the World Finals while holding the first-place title at regional and state levels. Our team has been together for nine years and have made it to the World Finals for eight of those years. To go out with a bang, we want to try our hardest to have a shot at the top 5 and secure a win. Please help us as it's our last year competing before we go off to college!
