Help ease the costs of spinal surgery for our boy

I’ve never been one to ask for a handout in my life.

We’ve always soldiered on and rolled with the punches.

But December has really tested us. Our boy Simon woke up on Monday Morning without the function of his back legs. He looked at me with the biggest, most terrified eyes I’d ever seen. We rushed him to the specialist who confirmed it was IVDD. He was admitted and we had emergency surgery carried out.

We had news today that since surgery, he’s lost sensation in his back legs which may be a sign that his spinal cord hasn’t responded to surgery, and might be getting worse which could mean we lose our little man. He’s 5 years old and we aren’t bloody done with him yet.

Our surgery has cost us over $17,000 and has really tested us emotionally where we should be celebrating our first Christmas with our 7 week old baby.
