Hi my name is Joxie and I’m raising money to get my daughter a special needs stroller. I’ve been on a list for a stroller for 1 year her health has been deteriorating and I can’t wait any longer. We have been so touched by our friends and family. We have had so much support over the years of Karen's life, as we have learned to maneuver through a lot of chaos and trauma , joy and learning curves with the help of God and our love ones. We are deeply grateful and Thankful!! We are reaching out now to ask for support in purchasing this wheelchair stroller for Karen.

For those who don't know us let me tell you a little about Karen also known by many as Jellybean:

Karen is a very sweet girl! She's our little miracle born at only 24 weeks weighting just 1 pound,she has been through so much like IVH(intraventricular hemorrhage Of grade 4 three times) due to this she suffered a stroke, PFO,suffers from Tonic-Clonic, Absence and Complex Focal seizures, adrenal insufficiency, Osgood-Schlatter disease witch means her bones grow faster than her muscles, rheumatoid arthritis, reflex sympathetic Dystrophy between many other things and is a Cancer survivor.Karen can suffer at any moment Cerebral Palsy and it's currently living her life with 1/4 of her brain not functional.She has overcome so much in 10 years! However, there are still mountains that our Jellybean faces every day.

KAREN is 10 years old and going anywhere I end up carrying her because her muscles and bones give up and drops in the floor full of pain without been able to get up due to not having the strength to do so. We have tried strollers and adapted them as much as possible but she is just too big for them, but I realized that it is time to get something that she can sit comfortably in with the supported sitting that she needs and something that has room for her to grow into. Sadly, insurance does not cover special needs strollers deemed unecessary as she's not fully confined to a bed.This stroller also comes with a 5 year warranty.

A stroller has the reclining she needs is more compact, and lighter in weight which helps with the constant getting in and out when running errands and going to in and out of church, stores and restaurants and medical appointments.

These strollers can range anywhere from $3,000 to $5,000.

A stroller is essential for her, As we have A LOT Doctor appointments she's getting so big that at almost my height and it is way too much for me to handle. Our only option is buying an adaptive stroller for children with special needs, that is for bigger disabled kids up to 180lbs so that she can have it for years to come.  And it is hard for me to ask for help...But with the things that Karen has needed lately, so far has wiped out our savings. Para aquellos que no nos conocen déjenme contarles un poco sobre Karen también conocida por muchos como Jellybean:

¡Karen es una niña muy dulce! Ella es nuestro pequeño milagro nacido con solo 24 semanas pesando solo 1 libra, ella ha pasado por tanto como IVH (hemorragia intraventricular de grado 4 tres veces) debido a esto ella sufrió un derrame cerebral, PFO sufre de ataquesepilepticos, insuficiencia suprarrenal, enfermedad de Osgood-Schlatter que significa que sus huesos crecen más rápido que sus músculos, artritis reumatoide, distrofia simpática refleja entre muchas otras cosas y es una sobreviviente de cáncer Karen puede sufrir en cualquier momento Parálisis Cerebral y actualmente está viviendo su vida con 1/4 de su cerebro que no es funcional. ¡Ha superado tanto en 10 años! Sin embargo, todavía hay montañas que nuestra Jellybean enfrenta todos los días.

KAREN tiene 10 años y yendo a cualquier parte la termino cargándola porque sus músculos y huesos se rinden y cae al suelo llena de dolor sin poder levantarse por no tener la fuerza para hacerlo. Hemos probado coches y los hemos adaptado tanto como hemos podido, pero ella es demasiado grande para ellos,ya que la silla tiene que reclinar pero me di cuenta de que es hora de que tenga algo en lo que él pueda sentarse cómodamente con el asiento con apoyo que ella necesita y le dure anos. Lamentablemente, el seguro no cubre los silla para necesidades especiales que se necesita ya que consideran innecesario ya que no está completamente confinada a una cama. Esta silla también viene con una garantía de 5 años.

Es una silla más compacta y más liviana, mas fácil entrap y salir de la iglesia, tiendas citas medical y restaurantes.

Estas pueden costar entre $3,000- $ 5,000.

Esta silla es esencial para ella, ya que tenemos MUCHAS citas con el médico, se está volviendo tan grande que casi llega a mi altura y es demasiado pesado para mí. Nuestra única opción es comprar una silla adaptable para niños con necesidades especiales, es decir, para niños discapacitados más grandes de hasta 180 libras de peso para que pueda tenerlo en los años venideros. Para mi no es difícil pedir ayuda ...
