Help us get Rocky the veterinary care he needs
Donation protected
UPDATE 29.08.2023
We have now spoken to several vets and gotten a few estimates together. We will likely be looking at a total cost in the region of £3000 to £4000. We are aware this is a huge ask. We are looking into other funding sources also but appreciate every share and every single pound donated towards his treatment. We are determined to get him his op and anything else he needs. He has his whole life ahead of him and deserves this chance. ♡
(At the moment there is no sign of sensation in the affected leg, should this change of course the situation will be reassessed in case the leg can be saved, however we are told this is unlikely.)
Thanks so much for your support. xx

------------------------------
Rocky is a young lurcher who was found lost in a quarry, underweight, weak and unable to use his left front leg. He received first aid treatment at Seaham Vets, and x-rays showed no fracture but on further inspection we believe he has suffered nerve damage. He has no feeling in the affected leg at all. We didn't think kennels would be a suitable environment for him so he is currently in the care of some of the nurses at Seaham Vets with the view of finding a charity that can offer him a suitable foster or forever home environment.
We are fundraising to cover the costs for his care and veterinary treatment, which will likely include amputation of the injured leg. If a charity comes forward to take over his care, all funds raised will be passed on to the charity. If we receive more donations than needed to cover Rocky's care, then any excess will also be donated to either the charity taking over his care, or another local animal rescue charity.
Please help us get this lovely young boy back on his paws and into a loving forever home.
Thank you ♡
