I am a recovering addict working hard every day to rebuild my life and create a better future. Right now, I am also the primary caregiver for my 78-year-old grandmother. She means the world to me, and I do everything I can to make sure she’s comfortable and cared for. Without a car, I walk a long distance between my house and hers every day, no matter the weather, to be there for her.
Recently, my grandmother received some difficult news—she has a large mass on her bladder and needs to go to frequent doctor appointments. Not having reliable transportation makes it incredibly challenging to get her the care she needs, and it’s been tough to keep up with daily essentials for both of us.
I’m reaching out for help because I want to give my grandmother the support she deserves and continue my own journey of recovery. The money raised will go toward getting a reliable, affordable car so I can take her to appointments, run errands, and make life a little easier for both of us. I hope everyone will try to help—even if it’s just 10 cents, anything will make a difference. Thank you so much for reading and for any support you can give.
