Hi my name is Chelsea I am a 21 year old living in Limerick with my partner. We recently were living in our car as we were hoping to have a home by now but everywhere we have tried has been a dead end from TD’s to the Limerick council as I haven’t been here for 6 months they have refused me and refused to help us. We aren’t addicts we have no addictions. as i have tried to find a job to no avail but with my partner as he’s out of work due to ongoing injuries and ongoing health problems . We have tried couch surfing until we had no other choice to get a car but it was recently taken off us due to the previous owner not giving us the log book. We have been told that the car we were recently have been sleeping in is going to the dump to be crushed as it was run down with mould which was causing health problems so by Wednesday this week the 11th of February we have no other choice but to sleep in a tent as the car is being taken. Any help would be much appreciated. This is our last resort as we have no other option and we would never ask anyone for help usually but we genuinely don’t know what to do anymore. Some people might find this as a pitty post but I can assure you I have proof of the living conditions. Thanks again for taking the time to read this.
