It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved Maria Elena Rodriguez. Maria Elena is a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was visiting Chicago from Mexico to see her mother. Unfortunately, she arrived late and was not able to see her mother alive. A day after her mother’s burial, Maria Elena passed away suddenly of a heart attack here in Chicago. Our family’s grief is now unbearable, now that her passing has been devastating loss to us in this week of mourning.

 

This fund has been set up to help deal with the significant cost associated with transportation and funeral arrangements. This tragic death was an unexpected one. Most of the financial assistance our family was able to give, went towards the medical and funeral costs of our Maria Socorro, Maria Elena’s mother. She will be laid to rest in Monterrey, Mexico where she is survived by her husband, five children, and grandchildren.
