Help us get our NYC kids ONLINE and LEARNING!

Tax deductible
The students of The Urban Assembly Unison School, The Urban Assembly Institute of Math and Science for Young Women, The Urban Assembly School for Applied Math and Science and The Urban Assembly Bronx Academy of Letters are eager and ready to get started with REMOTE LEARNING during this global crisis - COVID19.

Our four schools (all NYC public Title 1 schools serving grades 6 - 12) have distributed devices - even hand delivering some across the boroughs - to our students in this most unprecedented moment.  Our teachers and staff have worked tirelessly to overcome multiple barriers that disproportionately impact our students so that learning is not interrupted.  We have been successful in so many ways.  We distributed more than 600 devices across the 4 schools over the course of 48 hours.

BUT, one of the very serious barriers that this public health crisis has exposed is that many of our children do not have access to the WiFi needed for them to connect with each other, with our staff and with the on-line learning that we are planning for them.

Help us buy our students who are the most vulnerable - among some living in shelters or in foster care - cellular data enabled Chromebooks.  Sprint is ready to work with us to provide each child in need with a Chromebook that will be equipped with 6 MONTHS of unlimited data for $300/per device.   If we reach our target, we will be able to purchase close to 70 devices for our schools and get these devices into the hands of our students by the end of this week.  This will only be the beginning.  But it will be a strong beginning in conquering a very real digital divide.

Help us make this happen!

Donate $300 to provide one device for one child.  Or donate what you can - every dollar helps!  We can make this happen if we spread the word to more and more people.  Spread this campaign to everyone you know.
