Help us get our Frankie back to healthy and happy
Hi, my name is Rachel, and I'm creating this for our one cat Frankie Beans, or just Frankie for short. She is such a happy and energetic cat usually, so very much full of life, and despite her being born without the capability to use her hind legs, she has always managed to stay happy and joyful. This cat can teach us all a little bit of something; she does not take defeat and always manages to surprise us, whether it's her managing to climb all the way to the tip-top of the cat tree by herself, moving across the house faster than any of the other cats or learning to fake sleeping so that she can make a sneaky escape from her bathroom time.
Frankie has recently cut herself on her lower area due to how she scoots around, and although we have tried for the most part to keep her in a diaper, there is times when we think it's nice to let her have some time out of one as well (it's usually these times when shes happiest lol)but during one of these diaperless times is when she had got the injury, we think she may have scootched over a sharp piece of either broken plastic or possibly wood and because of her condition keeping that injury clean is an uphill battle
We've been trying to do our best to make sure it's staying clean and not worsening. Still, tonight it's become apparent that despite our best efforts, it's become worse. We don't have very much in terms of savings, but I am willing to put everything we do have ourselves into the help that we think shes going to need from a vet but sadly, I do not think it will even be close to enough in the end, so that is why I've made this gofundme for her.
We just want her back to the healthy and Happy Frankie B she was before her injury; she has already overcome so much in life by herself, and now it looks like she's going to need some assistance with this one. Please do whatever you can spare to help save this true one-of-a-kind and remarkably special cat and member of our family, Frankie B's.
If there is any questions in regards to Frankie or her condition or maybe just need some pointers on how to manage certain day to day things with a disabled cat, don't hesitate to ask; we are more than willing to help as there really isn't much help that we were able to find anywhere else.
Thank you.
