Our son, Kolton, has been invited to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum: Pathways to STEM!!
It is such an honor to have received this nomination from his teacher, Mrs. Estep, and to have been selected to receive an invitation to attend this amazing program. When I asked Mrs. Estep what inspired her to nominate Kolton this is what she had to say, "I chose Kolton because he seems to enjoy Science. I like the way he thinks through a problem to find a solution. He is really good at explaining his reasoning to his partners and will turn around and listen to their ideas as well. He "thinks outside of the box"! Theses are all qualities I am looking for in my students. If they can do these things, they will do well when they get older and move into the workplace. Fortune magazine had an article a couple of years ago that talked about the biggest issue in companies is that they have people with great ideas, but they don't know how to work with others. In my opinion, Kolton does all of these!".
Talk about proud parent moment! We have been blessed beyond imagine with a child who works so hard and actually enjoys it. We would love for him to experience this opportunity. So we are reaching out and asking for your support!
His participation in the program depends on whether we can raise $2600. The program tuition is $1,995. He would need around $600 for room and travel for six days as the program will be held at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.
We are hoping that you will consider assisting him with some of these costs. The tuition must be paid by April 3rd, 2020. Your support would be greatly appreciated!
