Thank you to everyone who helped us hit our £2,000 target! We really appreciate the generosity and support.

We’ve stretched the target to £3,000 to help us design and create a new Candid branded glass with local artist Ruth Allen.

All current and future donations of £20 and above will receive a first edition of the new glassware once it’s ready!

Candid has recently been awarded a High Street Boost Grant by Stafford Borough Council.

The grant money is to enable us to upgrade our outdoor seating area in Woodings Yard, including a large commercial parasol and new, comfy seating and tables.

But Candid has to contribute match-funding as part of the terms of receiving the grant money.

We therefore need the help of our customers and network to fundraise £2,000 in match-funding.

This project will be transformative for Candid ahead of the important Spring and Summer season.

Our current marquee has been in place since reopening after the first Covid lockdown. It has survived several storms, but it is now ready to be retired.

Similarly, our outdoor benches and tables have done a great job, but they are getting very rickety!

The commercial parasol we want to purchase will give us maximum flexibility to provide rain cover during bad weather, and the ability to collapse it when the sun is shining.

The current trading climate for hospitality businesses continues to be very challenging, and as such Candid does not have the spare funds to fully provide the match-funding by itself.

Therefore, ahead of Candid’s 7th birthday in April, we are calling on our friends and customers to make a contribution - of any size - to help us hit our target.
