Our Dad, Bill Monahan, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease a couple of years ago. For those unfamiliar with this disease, it causes slow movement, balance issues, tremors, cognitive issues and a myriad of other symptoms. We have found an organization that will train a dog specifically for Bill, and continue to train the dog through it’s life to keep up with Dad’s evolving disease. From helping him stand up, to providing support for walking and even alerting him when it’s time to take his medicine, this dog will give Bill more freedom and support. We would love to help him achieve this goal and are asking for everyone’s support. The dog will cost $15,000, and this includes training for the life of the dog. We know with all the friends and family that Bill has touched in his life, we can meet this goal!
