Asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but today I’m putting my pride aside for my son and our family. My sweet son, Bennett, fought cancer with incredible strength and was declared cancer-free. We truly believed that chapter of our lives was behind us. Unfortunately, we are now facing the heartbreaking possibility that his cancer has returned.

We have been told that Bennett needs to be evaluated by a specialist at Texas Children’s Hospital who focuses specifically on his rare type of cancer. We are hopeful that getting him in front of the right expert will give us answers and the best possible treatment plan. The financial burden of making this trip is overwhelming. We are asking for help to cover airfare for Bennett and me, lodging during our stay, a rental car for transportation, meals while we are away from home, the $1,000 specialist consultation fee, and additional medical expenses and unexpected costs that come with seeking specialized care.

We are also raising funds to help with groceries, possible childcare, and to take some burden off my husband who will be staying behind in New York with our two kids. Your support will help us focus on Bennett’s care and ease the stress on our family during this difficult time.
