On Monday, my husband was headed to pick up groceries right after work, when a man flew through an intersection and totaled our only vehicle- our lifeline. The man was arrested at the scene due to driving on a suspended license, was ticketed for speeding- but not only that, he had no insurance. Unfortunately for us, a few months ago we downgraded our insurance policy momentarily because life has been giving us a rough go, and it was that or potential loss of shelter, and now our insurance won’t do a thing. We are hoping to raise enough funds for a beater car and car seats for our kiddos so I can make it too and from my lifesaving appointments/procedures and medicine pickups, my husband to work, cover medical expenses that came from being checked in the er, and legal fees due to the driver having a suspended license and invalid insurance, and just have access to ac as our vehicle has been our safe haven with our house we are renting does not have ac- my body can’t tolerate the heat and I end up in the ER. Public transportation is an option for my husband momentarily, but because of my health condition, it is not for me to get to all of my very necessary appointments, procedures, and medicine pickups. We are eternally grateful for whatever help may come our way to help us have two feet on solid ground, and I thank anyone who read this far.
