Hello All!!! My name is Ebony and I'm the mother to two of the most amazing girls named Adaeze, 9 (uh-day-z), and Alayah, 7 (uh-lay-uh). I'm in recovery. I started my recovery journey on Dec 28, 2021. I had a traumatic experience and it was an eye-opener. I moved to Goochland, VA with a lady that was living alone and decided I wanted to live a normal life, especially for my kids' sake. Recovery does not mean everything will go as planned and you immediately get back to life. I had nothing when I hit rock bottom. I had my kids, that's all, and my Savior. I had to basically rebuild my life and mind in every way. There were lots of walls and obstacles throughout. No car, so I couldn't hold a job. I got a car and I eventually got a job as a truck driver. The residence I was residing in to repair my life was toxic, so I was forced to leave. I was living out in the tractor-trailer for three months. I drove for a living. My kids were also with me at times, other times with their dad. My employer eventually found a house I could rent. He assisted in the deposit payment of $1500; $800 of it was my entire paycheck. I had nothing in my pocket after that deposit. I was excited because I knew my kids would be happy. Mind you, I have been doing the right thing since Dec 28, 2021. I was in the process of repairing my life when I encountered this former employer. I ran out of gas one day and he stopped to assist. He got some gas and as we were talking, I noticed a headset on his head and I asked him if he was a driver and he responded yes, I have two and one is in the shop. So I gave him my number and he said he would call once it was fixed. Three weeks went by. One morning, my daughter missed the bus and I didn't have a vehicle because it was in the shop. I had a nervous breakdown, crying uncontrollably. The family I was living with in Goochland to repair my life tried to console me, but I couldn't take any more letdowns, failure, or mishaps. I calmly walked out of the front door and told them to call their dad. I walked up to Highway 250 and sat on the ground close to the edge of the road with my back turned to oncoming traffic, hoping someone would be distracted and run me over. I was giving up. I couldn't take any more. I sat there for a while and got up, brushed myself off, and started the walk back home. As I was walking, my phone rang and it was the employer I met 3 weeks prior, asking if I was ready to work. I looked at the sky after accepting the job and said God heard my cries, my prayers. He knew what I needed and it was on time!!! I trained for a couple of weeks and was eventually put in the truck alone and shadowed him to show me the ropes. I was officially a flatbed truck driver and I loved it. Everything was okay at first until he started to show his real character. If he didn't get his way or if I challenged him in any way, he would get upset and fire me. He would call me back, but it happened at least three times before the final termination. His behavior affected me emotionally and mentally. I was already struggling when I met him. I want to be clear before I state the cause of my final termination. He was ONLY my employer and if anything, friends, NOTHING more. I only wanted a paycheck to get my life back on track. It was a conflict of interest. I knew better, been there, done that, and it never ends well. Around July early 2023, he started acting differently towards me. He also stated that my normal customers I hauled for weren't doing any business at the moment, which I knew wasn't true because they were Amish and they operate unless it's raining. Nothing but sunshine every day. Long story short, he met a female that worked in a convenience store in Buckingham, VA. That store is one of the stores I passed to get to the Amish. I eventually figured this all out. I could care less about their relationship because I was there for the money, period. Fast-forward to him finding me the rental house. A week and a half after, he took my job from me. Why? She couldn't handle another female working for her man. Insecurity at its finest. Mind you, I had just given every dime to the slumlord, his cousin, for the deposit. My daughters would be starting school two weeks later. Again, I didn't have a dime. The boy helped me get off my feet just to throw us away like we were trash because of his girlfriend's insecurity. He let her dictate. I still had to figure out what to do next. I lost my insurance, so I was slapped with an SR22. I repaired it in June 2023. My next payment towards the SR22 fee was $600. I paid $25 a month until paid off. If I miss a payment, they automatically suspend my license. All my money went towards the down payment, so I was unable to make payments for July. No money or a license. He drove the same streets and would pass by me like he never knew us, knowing what he had done, and he didn't care. I was sick and devastated. I cried every morning before I woke my kids for school and every night after they went to sleep. I couldn't wrap my head around his behavior. I ran out of gas at least once a week trying to fix it. Or I couldn't leave my driveway because of lack of gas. I didn't have an active license, so the cops impounded my car twice. Blessed to have some people that cared enough to help. I had a nervous breakdown and had to be taken to the hospital. All that I was enduring took a toll on me, but being kids, they are affected ten times worse. I still had a life to figure out even though I didn't have a license. My dad was my go-to whenever I needed anything. He passed away on Feb 5, 2018. I found him deceased. It changed me forever and that is when my addiction to meth began. I became sober in Dec 2021. Since then, many relapses. I had to do what I had to do because I still had to provide for my kids and I ended up receiving five driving on a suspended. My crystal clear +5 driving record points I had since 2012 when I got my CDL license point is now a -25. Yes, it's not a typo. Negative twenty-five. I worked hard to keep a clean record. I also had to pack and leave the house I just moved in at the beginning of September, of course, because I no longer had a job to pay the $900 a month. I was once again homeless. Kids eventually had to live with their dad full-time because I was unstable. They were uprooted from Goochland schools in the middle of the year to attend Chesterfield. I lived in my car or hotels up until I circled back to my childhood home in Jan of 2024. I obtained a job at Food Lion in Montpelier, VA finally in Jan 2024. Mind you, I still have no license, tags dead, and no inspection. I ended up losing the job after a month or so because the cops that patrol that area were aware of me not being legal to drive. I would park at the carwash and walk to FL so that I wouldn't get caught driving and arrested. Sometimes I would be a little late trying to duck them. I was still in the 90-day period, so I lost it. I haven't worked since then. It's been real hard for my kids and me not having any income AT ALL!! No unemployment, child support, no nothing. I've had strangers, friends, some family, and resources to help me. I'm creating this post to ask for help once again. I petitioned the court for a restricted license and it was granted. I was eligible for it on July 2. I must pay a fee of $450.00 and I can obtain my restricted license. I also would have to find car insurance and register my car. I'm asking for a donation of $800 so that I can continue to try and finish what I started back in 2021. A license is my final puzzle piece to life and the rest will surely follow. I owe my kids everything; they owe me nothing. Death is the only thing that will stop me from giving them the life they most certainly deserve. I truly appreciate all the love and continuous support that we have received throughout my journey already. Blessed beyond!! Hopefully, 2025 will finally be the year that I have been waiting for. I want everyone to know that NARCISSISM is real and will completely crush your soul. I'm trying desperately to heal from what we endured from the narcissist, but it's hard to bury it when it's still affecting you. Be Aware

Thank you in advance, Mama
