Yesterday, I was in a car accident while out doing DoorDash, and our car was totaled. Thankfully, I wasn’t hurt and my wife wasn’t in the car, but now we’re facing a new challenge. We haven’t received an offer from the insurance company yet, but after looking up the blue book value, it’s clear it won’t be enough to replace our car. I rely on having a reliable vehicle to commute to work every day and to do DoorDash deliveries to help make ends meet. Without a car, we’re at risk of losing our income and stability, and we simply can’t afford a car payment right now. We were already strapped for money before this happened, and now we’re feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next.
