Dearest Lover of the Performing Arts,
We are so grateful to those of you who so unselfishly have given of your time and cash to help organizations like this one stay afloat despite incredible challenges. To be forced to curtail stage productions has been like being a fish out of water. BUT we are about to swim again in the amazing and immense waters of New York City Theater!!! Hallelujah!!
While shipwrecked, we rose to the occasion of developing and delivering alternative theater productions via the digital wonders of Zoom and live steaming. If you caught our last new work, THE FOLD OF HIS HIP AND THE ROCK OF HIS SNORE, then you saw a thought provoking, honest, bold and diverse sensation.
Maybe you haven’t seen us perform since 2018 when we did an audience favorite production of original folk opera ONE DROP or award winning UGLY IS A HARD PILL. Maybe it was before that when we did original award winning dark comedy A PUNK OR A GENTLEMAN or legendary August Wilson’s TWO TRAINS RUNNING on a park lawn, in an amphitheater or mega performing arts center. Or maybe you have never experienced our commitment to the Arts and to the mature adult performer who seeks to develop and execute their skills with proficiency. If not, we trust that you will and you will return over and over again as so many have.
Our foundation relies on support in making our commitment possible. Annually, we mount stage plays to give mature adults opportunities to develop and demonstrate their acting and other skills needed to produce stage plays.
For aspiring actors that have shown the most potential, we have awarded scholarships to cover the cost of acting classes so they can pursue their dream of learning to act at no cost to them. Then, we give them a role in a production wherein they can further develop and show off their skills.
We have provided opportunities in the full range of stage production aspects from acting through all the management, creative design and technical aspects and have done this for 12 years now. Although we have received accolades, and support in the process, WE NEED YOUR HELP RIGHT NOW TO CONTINUE MAKING A DIFFERENCE.
Our organization, the Anderson & Bert Cade Fulton Foundation is excited and honored that my latest work has been selected to debut on stage at the long standing and well respected Theater for the New City in Manhattan next month starting September 16 and running through October 3. Donate here, share this campaign and then go to their website at theaterforthenewcity.net to get your tickets to the latest play.
This new play, "WAS IT ME?" is a “me too” story from the perspective of a Black girl growing up in 1970’s Chicago. Loosely based on my own personal experiences, through both poignancy and humor, it underscores the significance of embracing mental health wellness in the Black community. It lifts the veil of stigma associated with seeking help and begs the questions of whose responsibility it is to protect females and whose fault it is when they are disrespected and devalued.
People of all walks of life will love it including church goers who will appreciate its acknowledgment of the historic importance of church in the Black community as a real and viable source of strength and spiritual fortitude.

Like us on Facebook at Fulton Arts Foundation, donate any amount, share this page, encourage others to support us, reach out to volunteer or give us the honor of planning a theatrical event for you, your family, church, club, group or company.
Thank you so very much for whatever help you give.
In honor of all those who donate, regardless of the amount, we will list their names as esteemed donors in the program we will use for our upcoming production. We hope this is accepted as an act of gratitude. We will not list names of those who have donated anonymously. Thank you again for sharing and posting this campaign. It all helps put us in a better position to help others… and we will, in great part, thanks to you!
