In early 2025, I was hospitalized with a severe case of pneumonia. During that time, I learned I have congestive heart failure, which meant I had to miss six months of work to recover and get my blood pressure under control. Just two weeks after I was finally able to return to work, I slipped on ice and broke my arm, putting me out for another three months.

While all this was happening, we bought two different used cars, hoping to keep our household running smoothly. Unfortunately, both vehicles broke down within two months, leaving us without reliable transportation. We need a car for our second income and to make up for what I'm missing while I'm on disability. My short-term disability only pays part of what I make while working, and it's been a struggle to keep up with bills and basic needs.

My husband has been putting his resume out everywhere, but either gets no response or can't reach jobs using public transportation. I feel like we're drowning and it's really hard for me to ask for help, but I know we can't do this alone.
