We have a young mum who is desperate to leave her abusive home but with two small children she doesn’t want to take them to a shelter (our shelters are currently full regardless). Sally** moved to Tasmania 4 years ago with her 2 children, needing a fresh start after the unexpected passing of her husband in a work accident. A year later she met Adam** and he was perfect. Loved her and her kids in a way she thought she’d never find again after her husband. Sally & the kids moved in with Adam 6 months later and it was soon after that Adams mask fell & Sally saw the real him. What’s followed is two years of control, physical & financial abuse. Sally says she thought the emotional abuse was worst of all, until she started to suspect he was also abusing her daughter. Sally is now on a mission to get herself and her children away from Adam and has been approved for a rental but needs help with bond. We hope, that’s where we come in.
