For years, Newhouse Wildlife Rescue has been there for wildlife and the community: rescuing, rehabilitating, educating, and our wildlife a second chance when they need us. As we work toward securing our future wildlife clinic in Carlisle, we are facing an unexpected increase in upfront project costs.

We initially estimated needing approximately $60,000 to cover bank fees, town planning and permitting costs, and modest renovations to safely begin converting the property into a functioning wildlife clinic. Over the years, we have worked hard to save for a substantial down payment toward this dream. However, as financing details have been finalized, we learned that an additional $100,000 contribution toward the down payment will be needed due to the specialized nature of converting the property for wildlife rehabilitation and educational use. It's completely reasonable...we just don't have it.

While this additional cost was not anticipated, we truly believe this property is worth fighting for. With nearly 5,000 square feet and 13 acres of land, this future clinic would finally give Newhouse Wildlife Rescue the space to truly grow. It would us to expand rehabilitation efforts, improve educational programming, create better facilities for long-term and specialized patients, and continue serving wildlife across Massachusetts for years to come.

This project is about far more than a building. It is about creating a permanent home dedicated to compassion, rehabilitation, education, and coexistence with wildlife. Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring this vision one step closer to reality. Should it all end in heartbreak the sale of this house end up not going through, funds raised will set aside in our wildlife clinic account to give us a better chance at another facility.
