Brighton needs your help!

Our sweet girl, Brighton, is our Warrior Princess. Her name means “one who is loved”—and she truly is. Brighton was born with Leigh Syndrome, a rare, progressive, and terminal mitochondrial disease that affects her muscles, brain, and ability to breathe on her own.

She is completely ventilator-dependent, has a trach and GJ feeding tube, and requires 24/7 care. Every day, she fights battles that most of us can’t imagine. She fights with courage, grace, and the brightest smile that lights up every room.

As Brighton grows, so do her medical needs— and so does our need for a safe, reliable way to transport her. Right now, getting her to doctor appointments, therapies, or even just out into the world she loves is becoming increasingly difficult and unsafe.

We’re raising money to purchase a wheelchair-accessible van that can accommodate her equipment: her ventilator, suction machine, oxygen tanks, feeding pump, and, most importantly, her adaptive stroller/wheelchair. This van will allow us to safely get Brighton where she needs to go and give her the freedom to experience more of life beyond hospital walls.
