I've always been a proud man, and this was very hard for me to do. I've worked all my life, since I was 14 years old. I never once took unemployment during the only 2 times I was ever without a job. Now at 71 years old, I am in the twilight of my life and am reduced to a monthly check. Along with my Angel Debbie, we get by. We pay our bills on time, thank God: utility bills, rent (bless our landlord and her dad), and food. We make it. Yes, I have a little left over for my love of vinyl and smoke. But when anything out of the ordinary arises, there goes our carefully constructed budget. After my last 4 weeks of medical misery and budget-busting prescriptions, I said, "fook it!" Life is too Freekin' short, folks. We need a washing machine. This is our 3rd used washer. It's not fair for Deb to be going to the laundromat, lugging those wet clothes home to dry in our dryer (which works great, old but great).
As for my other needs, I need new glasses. This pair is over 10 years old, and I'd like to be able to see before I die. Secondly, I need extensive dental work. I'd like to be able to chew and eat once again without pain before I leave us. Third, I need a set of tires for my 20-year-old Subaru. They barely passed 4 years ago, so the car has not been inspected, except by my mechanic since then. SMH. I know.
Any funds collected after our 3 needs are met will be dedicated to my cremation, my headstone, and burial. Any funds after that will be dedicated to my Beer and Pizza Celebration of Life Party in lieu of a funeral or service. All my friends and loved ones have my personal invitation. Every one of you sumbitches, "Let's Party!" Peace All Over Everyone You
