This is difficult for us to share, but we are reaching out for support as we try to secure a reliable vehicle for our family—something that has become medically necessary.
Our daughter, McKenzie, has ongoing medical needs that require frequent doctor appointments, specialist visits, and infusion treatments. Reliable transportation is not just a convenience for us—it directly affects her ability to receive consistent care and maintain her health. At times, missing or delaying appointments simply isn’t an option.
Over the past several months, we’ve been working with multiple dealerships to purchase a vehicle. Unfortunately, we’ve either been denied financing or offered terms that are not realistic for our situation. We’ve been told we need a larger down payment than we currently have (we’ve saved $3,000, but many places are asking for $5,000 or more), or the monthly payments are far beyond what we can afford.
We’ve also reached out to organizations and lenders that assist families facing medical and financial challenges, but we haven’t received any responses. It has been discouraging, but we are still doing everything we can to find a solution.
Having a dependable vehicle would bring immense relief to our family. It would ensure McKenzie can consistently get to her medical appointments, reduce the stress of transportation uncertainty, and allow us to focus more on her care rather than how we will get there.
Any amount, no matter how small, would mean so much to us. If you’re unable to donate, sharing our story would also be deeply appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read and support our family during this time.
With gratitude,
Amanda and Sarah
