I am a low-income mom doing my best to support my family while facing some tough challenges. After my car was involved in a hit and run accident, I’ve had to rent a car every day just to keep working and take care of my children. One of my kids has autism and needs therapy several times a week, and another has asthma that can get really bad, especially when he’s active. I also have my own health issues and need regular iron infusions.

Without a reliable car, it’s nearly impossible to get my children to school, their doctor’s appointments, and the therapy sessions that are so important for my autistic child. Walking isn’t an option, especially with my son’s asthma, because it could put his health at risk. The daily cost of renting a car has made it very hard to save for a new one, and it’s been a struggle to keep up with everything while working gig jobs every day.
