Hi everyone, thank you for taking the time to read this. My name is Daniella, and I’m posting this on behalf of my mom Leslie who is the head of our household. If you have ever had the pleasure of meeting my mom, you know that she is one of the kindest people ever. She is a dedicated nana to my sisters three kids, and she has guardianship over them. They have lived with us for about two years.
We have lived in our current house for 13 (!) years, and my mom has never been late on rent (granted, the average rental cost was much lower 13 years ago, and our rent has not changed). Our landlord informed my mom via text on October 7 that he was evicting us. He plans to sell the house, and we have 30 days to find somewhere else to live.
We really need some help. We don’t know how we are going to find somewhere big enough for us to rent (3-4 bedrooms), let alone how we will afford somewhere that size in the current rental market plus the move in costs.
