I am Lama from Gaza, a 25-year-old architect. My small family consists of three members: myself, my husband Mutaz, who is 29 years old, and our daughter Sama, who is 8 months old. We used to live a happy and peaceful life.
Our story: We never imagined we would live through this recurring nightmare that disrupts our lives daily, having lost everything. We lost our warm home and our happy, peaceful life, leaving us only with memories. On October 13, 2023, the Israeli army ordered us to evacuate our home to the south. My husband, our two-month-old daughter, and I obeyed the orders and headed to Deir al-Balah.
Loss of my husband's job: My husband used to work in his family's clothing store, which was his sole source of income. However, during the war, it was partially destroyed and completely looted.
Destruction of our home: We had our beautiful home that embraced our dreams and aspirations, where we had only spent ten months of our lives. On the eightieth day of the war, we received news of the complete destruction of our home. Let me take you on a tour of my beautiful house. I apologize for the lack of photos, but I only lived in my house for 10 months. It's heartbreaking to build a home, thinking you'll spend your life there, only for it to vanish in the blink of an eye. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Fn7BenlbeFM

This is Sama's room, which I designed with my own hands, drawing it line by line, choosing every detail carefully, her bed, her wardrobe, her clothes, her toys. But unfortunately, my daughter won't remember it. How could she? She left the house before she even completed two months of her life. She won't sleep in her crib, won't wear her beautiful clothes, won't even play with her little toys.

The bombing of the building we sought refuge in: We weren't spared from this war for a single day. In December 2023, we were shocked by the bombing of the apartment directly above us in the building we sought refuge in. Both my daughter and I were injured by shrapnel. I'll never forget that night when we returned to sleep in this apartment that had been destroyed. I'll never forget the smell of death, blood, and debris filling the building at that time.

To this day, we still live in the bombed apartment after repairing it and making temporary fixes.
I have created this campaign to help me and my small family leave Gaza and reach Egypt to escape the ongoing horrors of war and to secure a safe place. This is so we can build a new life and provide a healthy and secure environment to raise our daughter. Why we need support: to get out from Gaza we will need between 6000 usd per adult and 3000 usd per minor total of 15000 usd for my small family. There will be expenses for starting a new life in Egypt.
