Hiya Y'all, this is your resident taiyaki robot C-BEAM (owner of @ToastyTaiyaki ) calling into the community for your help! @ToastyTaiyaki is growing and we are having a hard time keeping up with event interest due to not having a means of reliable transportation for our equipment or safe place for our staff to operate. We are looking to raise $2,000 for a downpayment on a 1995 Daihatsu Atrai Turbo Mini Van to convert into a traditional Kei Van food truck.

@ToastyTaiyaki has been operating for a little over a year now popping up around Tallahassee every few weeks and some of our favorite places to be are:

@thefuzzypineapple for festivals such as Vegout Fest, Dessert Fest, Fairy Fest, Arts and Crafts Fest, Winter Fest and Food Fest.
@tinttally 's @catfamilyrecords for late night music concerts and local art features.
@ologypowermill for late night taiyaki drink dates and holidays like St. Pattys.
@eclipseonmadison for resident events and college town munchies.
@puff4less 's @marauders_market for groovy lunchtime vibes with the best vintage finds.
@adamsstflea the flea market that has opened the taiyaki flood gates we cant stop.

We want to serve our local market community, our LGBTQI+ siblings, and our vegan/gluten-free eaters but we need a bit of help to get there. @ToastyTaiyaki currently rents U-haul vans for transporting or we load up our Toyota Yaris and VW Beetle to get from place to place. It is less than ideal when trucks are frequently not returned for rental, leaving us in a difficult place for popups hours before an event. With how tight we have to pack our vehicles we can not travel safe distances beyond the local Tallahassee area, thus having to turn down non-local events frequently.

With Floridian weather also being unpredictable it can also make our popup operation dangerous with having our staff and equiment exposed to the elements. It takes nearly 2 hours for @ToastyTaiyaki to set up the toasty tent (same for break down time), so weather can be a huge detriment to our sucess.
