Meet Crackers — Joytime’s Beloved Cat Mascot!

Crackers isn’t just any mascot — he’s Joytime’s official cat and Aaron’s trusty sidekick, lighting up the stage and stealing the hearts of children every summer. The moment Crackers appears, the kids erupt with cheers and laughter, and he loves nothing more than posing for photos with his biggest fans.

Over the years, Crackers has had plenty of TLC and numerous repairs to keep him going. But now, after many summers of joy, it’s time for a fresh new look. We’re raising funds to give Crackers a complete makeover — a brand-new body, head, and clothes — so he can continue bringing smiles for many more years, looking just the same but without needing constant fixes.

Joytime is a community-driven, volunteer-led event that receives no outside funding and is not affiliated with Wirral Borough Council. We cover all costs ourselves, including the bandstand hire where the magic happens.

Our goal is to raise enough to cover the cost of the new Crackers costume, including shipping from the original supplier in the U.S., so we can keep the tradition alive and vibrant.
