Julian Chan was an amazing friend, family member and co-worker. His positive can do spirit was infectious to everyone who came into contact with him. He possessed a keen awareness of his surroundings. His sharp wit and sarcastic sense of humor kept everyone on their toes. He was a kind and generous soul who was deeply committed to his family and he was always available to teach, share and mentor his friends and co-workers. He always chose to focus more on his blessings and opportunities than his difficulties and challenges.
After contracting COVID-19 in April of 2020, Julian spent more than a month in an induced comma and several more months recovering from his illness. Julian was amazed at his good fortune to have survived and relished the opportunity to have "a second chance at life" as he put it. He returned to work ahead of schedule and resumed all of his day to day activities although it was clear to his co-workers friends and family that his lungs had suffered permanent damage during his valiant battle with COVID 19. On Monday morning February, 22 we were all shocked to find out we had lost our friend to a sudden heart attack. Julian was only 50 years old. He will be missed by all of us that knew and loved him.
Julian was a very special person to all of us.... and a life to be remembered and celebrated to the fullest ! Let's send Julian out on a high note by pulling our resources together to create a fund to be used exclusively by his family for his burial and memorial service.
Our Thanks in Advance,
Friends of Julian Chan
