Dear friends and family,
As many of you now know, on January 1, 2017, Robin experienced a heart attack in Pittsburgh, PA. In true Robin style, he finished his concert with the Pittsburgh Opera, before finishing his heart attack! After returning home, Robin went into cardiac arrest on January 13th. What looked like a bumpy road to recovery, has turned into a much longer journey.
Under the supervision of extraordinary doctors and nurses, Robin is currently being monitored and undergoing several tests. It is our understanding that Robin will be in CCU for some time and could possibly be in the hospital for a while. While he is recovering from complications of this previously undiagnosed heart condition, we are raising funds to defray the loss of income for Robin and Marie-Claude.
We all know how special Robin, Marie-Claude, Mathis and Celeste are and the love they have for others cannot be expressed enough.
Robin is expected to make a full recovery, but it will take time and rest that will keep him away from his jobs for several months. As is the case with many musicians, his salaries are not guaranteed or compensated with disability insurance.
This fund is to help alleviate this burden on his family, so he can concentrate on what really matters: returning to full health and his wonderful musical life.
