Help us fund our short film, "The Cure"

We are a group of 4th year film & television production students in DKIT. We are currently working on our final year film project The Cure. The film is currently in pre-production with production scheduled for February 2025. We are looking to raise €2500 over the coming months to help us cover costume, props, locations, actors and any other production costs for the projects. We would appreciate any donation you can spare to help make our vision become a reality!

The Cure follows a young queer sceptic, Áine. Áine has been suffering from debilitating migraines and is grasping at straws to find a way to make them stop. After medical science fails her, Áine caves and goes along with her religious mother to see a local healer to get “the cure”. After a healing ritual is performed on Áine, she starts to notice something is not quite right and her logical belief system starts to unravel.

The film plays on the long-held healing tradition in Ireland of “the cure” and uses the countries dark and mystical folklore to tell a bone-chilling tale of desperation, conflicts of ideology and body autonomy.

Contributors who donate over €25 will be given a production themed "Zine" with information about crew members and the project !
