Help us fund our lab Teddy’s cancer surgery and recovery.
Donation protected
My husband and I have been rescuing dogs for over 20 years. We adopted a chocolate lab we named Teddy Bear on by Saturday July 27th. On Friday August 2nd at our first vet appointment we learned that Teddy has a mast cell tumor.
Teddy is scheduled for surgery on August 21st. We’ve signed up for pet insurance but it doesn’t become active until September 1st and doesn’t cover preexisting conditions. And cancer is a preexisting condition.
Teddy was a stray that was found in Camden New Jersey. He was emaciated and very sick with kennel cough, an upper respiratory infection and a large open wound on his back. He was in foster care recovering and being nursed back to health for six weeks.
Teddy’s surgery is going to cost $2500
We really need help covering the cost. Once we learn the grade of his tumor he might also need chemotherapy or radiation.
The life expectancy of a dog with a high grade mast cell tumor is 4 months and a low grade tumor 2+ years.
We are not giving up on the sweet dog and want to give every chance to live a happy health life with us and our pack.
Please consider making a donation towards Teddy’s surgery. Any amount will help us cover his surgery
Thank you in advance for your generosity
